Bonyukai Spring Bonsai Exhibition in Midori no Consultation Center in Hirosaki park (From April 10th to April 29th, 2026)
The Bonyukai Spring Bonsai Exhibition will be held at the Hirosaki City Midori no Consultation Center from 9:00 to 16:00 on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

At the venue, cherry blossoms, plums, and camellias, which symbolize spring, are on display, centering on evergreen pine trees. Bonsai is a traditional art of growing trees and flowers in pots to express natural scenery.

I feel that the method of expressing the changing seasons through a fusion of natural and artificial beauty has a uniquely Japanese aesthetic.

The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival has begun at Hirosaki Park, and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Not only are the cherry blossoms in the park beautiful, but the bonsai cherry blossoms are also very atmospheric.

At the venue, bonsai grown by the Bonyukai are also on display and for sale. Recommended for those who are interested in bonsai or those who want to start.

In the park, the magnolia flowers are in full bloom before the cherry blossoms. In the courtyard of the Green Consultation Office, there is a cherry tree with a trunk circumference of 5.82 meters that has been certified as Japan's thickest Somei Yoshino.

The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival will be held until May 5th (Tuesday), with approximately 2,600 cherry blossoms of 52 types, including weeping cherry blossoms and double cherry blossoms, blooming mainly in Someiyoshino. Why not take this opportunity to go to the Bonyukai Spring Bonsai Exhibition?
